The Joy List: August 11

Hi there, my gorgeous readers!

Our New Yorker of the Week today is Mimi. She’s in her 40s, lives in the Bronx, and is looking for friendship and love. To contact her, email [email protected].

Know someone (including yourself!) who should be featured? Forward them this form. Or put it in a group chat where people keep talking about being single!

Now, onto the fun things:

How would someone who loves you describe you?

Caring, compassionate but also no nonsense.

What sorts of things do you want to do with your friends?

Karaoke, bowling, gardening, teach me D+D.

What's something that people might not guess about you?

I am a huge Stranger Things fan!

Are you looking for love?

I am exploring connections! Not necessarily looking for love but very much open to it if it comes. I am looking for open minded poly friendly folks.

Anything else that the Joy List community can help you with?

Communal living that is child/cat friendly if that is a thing.

Do you want a high-paying tech job?

Fractal Bootcamp is a 3-month AI engineering accelerator in Williamsburg with a 100% job placement rate and average salary of $115k. All students do externships with NYC startups during the program. The instructors have worked at Google, Netflix, and Series A startups.

Tired of psychiatrists who just give you five minutes and pull out a prescription pad?

Enter: Francesca Rome-Marie. She's a Johns Hopkins trained psychiatric nurse practitioner who runs a holistic therapy and somatic practice. Unlike most therapists though, she can also do lab work, recommend supplements, and prescribe medications. Francesca works with people of all ages, backgrounds, and identities. Many of her patients are part of LGBTQIA+ communities (with many trans and non-binary individuals), and are also creatives of some type.

She specializes in depression, ADHD, anxiety, and trauma. Francesca works with only a small group of patients so she always has time and attention to devote to each individual. She provides creative, modern, and non-judgmental care. Learn more here and sign up for a free discovery call.

Need a spa day?

Use this link to get 30% off your first visit to Bathhouse (the Flatiron or Williamsburg location) and use the code JILLIANRICHARDSON to get 11% off any purchase at Othership! I especially recommend the 2-week intro pass.

Pro tips for both: check them out during the weekday if you want a more quiet, chill vibe. And go in the evenings— especially on the weekend— for a more social energy.

Also, the Williamsburg Bathhouse has a GREAT rooftop pool!
