The Joy List: December 9
Hi there, friend!
Our New Yorker of the Week today is Akshith. He’s almost 30, lives in Crown Heights, and is looking for friends. To say hi, email [email protected] and tell him what interested you in his profile!
If you’re interested in being featured in the future— which I know you are, you lil minx— fill out this form.
Now, onto the good stuff:
How would someone who loves you describe you?
The first person to respond said this and then everything after went immediately downhill so we're sticking with this:
"He’s good looking, funny, super playful. He enjoys running and loves cooking. He travels quite a bit and is a pretty independent guy. Understanding, not afraid to take criticism and not the kind of guy to provide unsolicited criticism. Open to talk about anything, an open book when prompted."
What sorts of things do you want to do with your friends?
I love doing things that are silly but make for a good story. i.e., one of my favorite things I've done was get 50 strangers together at a craft beer bar to find their absolute worst beer.
I love playing Dungeons and Dragons, I love playing board games, I love going to new restaurants before they get popular and being a pretentious hipster about it, I love learning about other people's passions, and I love connecting different groups of friends
What's something that people might not guess about you?
I am introverted as heck! And neurodivergent! But willing to put myself out here so I can make more friends and we can all share our nerdy (or not so nerdy) hobbies together
Are you looking for love?
Nope! Happily taken :)
Anything else that the Joy List community can help you with?
I've been running beginner DnD games recently, if you're interested (maybe because of Baldur's Gate 3 or a podcast!) let me know, I'd love to run a beginner friendly one shot with a group of y'all.
