Everyone says they want to meet someone "through friends," and we help make it happen. Saturday, January 31: Hyggehiking Queens' Conifers

On Saturday January 31st, we'll embark on a tour of Queens’ conifers and evergreens, beginning with the old growth Forest Park, winding through Juniper Valley and Flushing Meadows, then culminating in Flushing with hot soup and cozy conversation. Each hygge hike is an exploration of the green spaces throughout our city where we seek to gain a visceral understanding of its neighborhoods and local lore, meet people who can help make NYC feel like a smaller, closer-knit community, and discuss the projects, ideas, and events we're most excited about. Bring your curiosity, reliable footwear, and your friends!

Saturday, January 31: VoicePlay

VoicePlay is a safe space to play with voice as a tool for healing and expression in connection with others. Come explore your embodied expression, in this cozy, afternoon of somatic and vocal exploration, experimentation…and play! We will play with vocal improvisation, relaxation of the body, deep listening, traditional somatic practices and connection with the inner sounds waiting to be expressed! The workshop concludes with a group voice and movement improvisation, fostering connection and freedom.

This Ugly Pajamas Cuddle Party centers on a gentle, interactive consent workshop designed to help you communicate boundaries with clarity and confidence. Through simple exercises, you’ll practice saying yes and no, listening well, and honoring choice—skills that support healthier relationships of all kinds. Afterward, you’re invited to relax, connect, or cuddle at your own pace in a non-sexual, respectful space. Come as you are, wear your ugliest PJs, and experience connection built on trust and choice.

Sunday, February 1: Lunar New Year Cookbook Club

For this event, everyone will cook one (or more) recipe from the cookbook "Chinese Enough" by Kristina Cho. This cookbook club is a fundraising event + will be $20 per person to attend. 100% of proceeds from this event will be donated to the Boston Public Library Fund, the wonderful organization for which I'll be running the 2026 Boston Marathon to fundraise $12,000!
