The Joy List: November 11
Hi there, friend!
Our New Yorker of the Week today is Anna Rose. She’s 31, lives in Queens, and is looking for friendship and love. If you’re interested in reaching out, email [email protected]. And if you want to be a future New Yorker of the Week, fill out this form.
PS. Once a month, I want to feature an Organization of the Month. It will be an NYC-based org that’s looking for volunteers and/or donations. I’m especially excited to feature mutual aid groups and women’s shelters.
Know an org that might want to be profiled? Reach out!
Now, onto the good stuff:
How would someone who loves you describe you?
Hard-working, maternal, devoted, intense, magical
What sorts of things do you want to do with your friends?
Yoga, workshopping each other's writing, cozy little dinner parties, adventures in nature, and long winding walks around the city. I'm also always excited to attend wellness events like cacao ceremonies, pranayama workshops, reiki shares, sound baths, etc.
What's something that people might not guess about you?
I identify highly with Strega Nona. Secretly a little Italian grandma, not so secretly a witch. Cooking pasta from scratch is my tried-and-true seduction spell ;)
Are you looking for love?
I look for love in everyone and everything. I'm looking to deepen my sense of community, strengthen my friendships, and find healthy romantic love. My pronouns are she/her and I date people of all genders, although I've really enjoyed connecting with men over the past year. I'd love to find someone deeply spiritual, well-read, quick-witted, creative, edgy, and off-beat.
I come with a lot of lore and I'm looking for someone equally storied and unique. I'm an old soul and tend to gravitate toward people who are a bit older than me. I hope to find a committed long-term partner who wants to do the digital nomad thing for a few years and then settle down and have a bunch of babies.
Anything else that the Joy List community can help you with?
I'm an Usui-Tibetan Reiki Master and an RYT500 yin and restorative yoga teacher. Check out Saturn's Return Reiki and Yoga if you're interested in virtual Reiki or a private, one-on-one yoga and meditation session!

Rosen Method Bodywork
Rosen Method is performed on a massage table and uses a non-manipulative, listening touch that allows clients to sense feelings that have been stored away in the body. Our bodies respond to challenges in our lives by holding chronic tension. With a caring, present touch, this tension can be felt and acknowledged, offering a sense of relaxation and spaciousness. Many come away from each session feeling a little clearer, and a little freer, and a little more like themselves.
Email Pauline at [email protected] with "Rosen Method" in the subject line to schedule a free 15-30 min. consultation. Sessions are $75 per visit. Click here to learn more about Rosen Method.
