The Joy List: November 18

Hi there, friend!

Our New Yorker of the Week today is Ritika. She’s 29, lives in Ridgewood, and is looking for friendship and love. If you’re interested in reaching out, email [email protected]. And if you want to be a future New Yorker of the Week, fill out this form.

PS. Once a month, I want to feature an Organization of the Month. It will be an NYC-based org that’s looking for volunteers and/or donations. I’m especially excited to feature mutual aid groups and women’s shelters.

Know an org that might want to be profiled? Reach out! Thank you to everyone that already has. I’ll get back to you this week.

Now, onto the good stuff:

How would someone who loves you describe you?

I put in a lot of love to my friendships and relationships. I’m very motivated and really like to harness my creative side (I work in tech as a recruiter and produce music/DJ). I think that someone who loves me would describe me as a really thoughtful, fun, and real person.

What sorts of things do you want to do with your friends?

I love music, my life revolves around it. I love going to shows and love electronic music. Someone who can nerd out with me on anything house/electronic music related will hold me in conversation for hours. I’m also really big on wellness - spas, workout classes, etc. I’m also a huge foodie! I love trying new things and there’s really nothing I wouldn’t eat. I also love to backpack/travel - spending a month in Vietnam and the Philippines this year.

What's something that people might not guess about you?

I’m a growing DJ in the music scene in Brooklyn and have gotten to play some awesome venues over the last year!

Are you looking for love?

I’m definitely looking for love, someone who has a creative side and is passionate about something is really important to me. I also think that my biggest value is being humble and having the ability to be non judgmental toward others. I’m a very compassionate person and look for that in a partner. I’m also highly independent and live a very busy lifestyle working a full time job and working in nightlife so I need someone who is understanding of that and just really along for the ride!

Find your new career, get community support, and have fun doing it!

Over the course of 5 weeks, your group will uncover your purpose, make a plan to get you there, and figure out how to optimize your performance. You'll leave with more motivation, energy, and clarity of where you want your work life to go! Learn more here.
